Evolution
The world renowned trumpeter Arturo Sandoval has released his long
awaited and historical "Trumpet Evolution" album. No trumpeter
has ever made an album of this sort, spanning over 100 years of trumpet
history. An album of this caliber can only be undertaken by the trumpet
genius and master that is Arturo Sandoval
This legendary album consists of the top 19 most influential trumpeters of
our time and features Arturo Sandoval performing their most prominent
selection - the one that made them famous, the one they will always be
remembered by, and the one that changed Jazz and music history forever.
The formats
for each selection have stayed true to the original recordings. They are
completely authentic both stylistically and instrumentation wise. It was
Arturo's desire that each tune remain as close as possible to the
original. And therefore was recorded with bands as diverse as Quintets,
Septets, Big Bands, Full Symphony Orchestras, Big Band with small string
section, and more!
Sandoval's
"Trumpet Evolution" was recorded live with top studio musicians
in Los Angeles in both Symphony Orchestras and Big Band formats. Both
studios are award-winning as well as the engineers are Grammy and Emmy
award winners in their own right. "Trumpet Evolution" was
Executively Produced by the legendary Quincy Jones and the renowned Clark
Terry served as Musical Advisor.
After
almost a year of perfecting all of the diverse techniques, on over 20
different trumpets, and from the multiple eras, Arturo has recreated each
individual trumpeter's style with utter precision and excellence.
