The Piedmont Wind Symphony is proud to be a part of the Winston-Salem BTHVN Festival celebrating the 250th Anniversary of Beethoven's birth. Beethoven's musical influence is more deeply felt with each passing year and he has rightfully earned his status of immortality due to his unique and powerful impact on our world. The Piedmont Wind Symphony is thrilled to pay tribute to Beethoven, the original trendsetter, in our performance entitled "The Beethoven Effect."

On this program we will feature music of Beethoven and other distinguished composers who have benefited from his influence. The concert will also include a performance of the work "Extreme Beethoven" by Johan de Meij. This work gives the listener glances into the brain of the master with a multitude of ideas and motifs infused together. Beethoven's nine symphonies will provide the bulk of the material, but there are other notable selections in this unique celebration of Beethoven's music.

Stay tuned for more information!
